Wayne D. Burdette Jr.
Wayne is a working filmmaker — cinematographer, producer, director, and writer — with more than forty IMDb credits and an award-winning slate of independent features and shorts. He founded SteelHorn Holdings and the nonprofit Moonless Media, the presenting organization behind the Swan Lake, Moonless International, and Romans VIII film festivals, and serves as cinematographer on MAWilliams Films productions here in Sumter.
Before film, he spent more than thirty years in fire and EMS as a firefighter, paramedic, and instructor — which is why this festival takes September 11th, and the people who serve, personally. He built Swan Lake around one idea: a filmmaker who drives to Sumter should leave with a real audience, an honest room, and a fair shot.
